To provide for maximum drainage capacity from the trough, a wide mouth outlet would be installed on each one to transfer water right down into the downspout. Kevin also planned on having the intallers cut back the metal roof slightly so that all the water would land on the Gutter Shutter hood in an optimal spot for capture.

With all of the pieces connected around the house, all of the water was planned to be sent to two downspouts on each end of the house.
