3x4 Downspout

Thursday, January 18th, 2024 by Amy Pederson

Back to the industry standard a lot of homes have a 2inch x 3inch downspout coming down from the gutter system. 2x3 that is a 6 square inches for water and debris to flow down.  Its small, not very noticeable on the home, debris can get inside and clog it up.

Here at Gutter Shutter, we use a 3inch by 4inch downspout. Why do we do this?  Standard roof lines are getting larger with larger homes-built each year. Offering a 3x4 downspout gives 12 square inches (this is double the volume) of the previous 2x3 downspout! The best part is the downspout still blends in to your home. Installing this larger size downspout, we are able to collect the most amount of water from your roof lines and move it away from your home's foundation as quickly and efficiently as possible.

This Downspout is built from Quality Aluminum backed with a manufacture Warranty on the paint. We offer Downspout in 15 different colors and can special order more. We can blend in and match most home colors. Your Gutter System can be a feature on your home, not an eye soar.
